They came. They sprinted. They went. And there was no Gymkata (and no potluck) this time due to lack of interested people. But _Gymkata'_s time will come.
Nice people, nice weather, nice day, low-key, pin-punch, barebones, orienteering goodness. Thanks to all the good people for the good vibe.
A few people trained on the Line-O, which had 5 bags on a line. Stay on the line, hit those features, and you should wind up with 5 bags. Good training.
The sprint squeezed most of the available terrain out of the Roberts area—park landscaping, trails, and a nice patch of redwood forest. Many fast runners showed up, and to give you an idea of the navigational challenges, not all the fast runners finished in a tight cluster of times.
For the men's sprinters, James Scarborough edged Finnish track and sprint rock star Morten Bostrom by 3 seconds, and Mikkel Conradi took third. Margaret Longstreth bested Bronwen Caplinger (a junior) on the women's side.
Thanks for the help!
