Golden Goat Lifetime Points
The top 15 finishers in the annual Golden Goat event score these "lifetime points": 25, 20, 15, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Also, an Event Director or Course Setter earns a copy of their highest earned score within two years before or after "their" event.
BAOC Summer Series
BAOC has instituted a tradition of holding a series of low-key events during the hot season in California. We've been having this series since 2017 (except during the covid times).

OUSA National Rankings
The rankings for members of the Orienteering USA are compiled annually (and sometimes during the year). Rankings are done by age/gender classes; your age for a given year is considered to be your age on Dec. 31 of that year. For example, if a female orienteer turns 35 in August, she is considered to be in the F35+ class all year.
