We had another exceptional California day for the annual Morgan territory event: warm and dry weather, beautiful views, coyotes, bobcats, and challenging orienteering courses. The course setters did a superb job in utilizing both sides of the park; on the advanced courses this lead to several course transitions, from the initial sidehills, to fast downhills, steep climbs, and finally to the fast running sections in the later parts of the courses.
One of the most interesting legs had to be 7–8 on the Green course. Looking at RouteGadget shows four different route choices for that leg. Leg 16–17 on the Blue course was also approached differently by different runners, both in the early parts of the leg, and also in the final approach to the control location.
All the results are available below.
