Sunday saw a beautiful sight; 170 orienteers plying the green ridges overlooking Coyote Lake. Well received were the inventively designed courses by Lubomir Šebo, aided by Daniel Šebo and Matej Šebo. I hope you were not one of the unlucky ones who missed BAOC's first full-course event of the new decade.
While the walk to the Start may have had some stiff wind gusts, upon starting an even stiffer competition was taking place. AJ Riley edged out his Dad, Wyatt, for first place on Blue. Kim van Berkel won the Red course, with Graham Brew in second; Jitka Hiscox was the first woman. On Green, Tapio Karras and Steve Gregg waged a tight battle, with Marie-Josée Parayre close behind as the first woman. It was Tommy Ingulfsen over Gary Kraght on Brown, with Johanna Merris finishing only a bit later as the first woman. Orange was led my Marle Suvari, followed by Samuel Krechetov. Piotr Pisarchyk won over Holly Brown on Yellow. Brothers Carl and Cederic Raeim raced to the finish on White, and Marie Li was the first woman. The full results are below.
